About us

The endowment fund’s "L'Imprimerie d'Art de Montparnasse" created in 2011 aims :

  • Preserve the lithographic print shop and its unique industrial heritage.
  • Save and restore historic printing equipment for use by contemporary artists.
  • Protect, conserve and manage the print shop’s archives and lithographic stones for viewing by the public.
  • Provide support for training and apprenticeships to ensure that the master printers’ singular expertise is not lost.
  • Fund residencies to attract aspiring young artists to the workshop.
